Thanaa qualified in 2005 from The University of Leeds. Since then she has completed her MFDS examination and a Post Graduate certificate in Endodontics from the University of Chester. She has completed a Diploma in Endodontics in order to complete her Master’s Degree. In addition to general dentistry, Thanaa is trained in facial aesthetics including Botulinum and fillers, Invisalign, SmileFast composite bonding and teeth whitening. She has worked as a private and NHS dentist in Yorkshire and around Cambridgeshire before relocating to Merseyside.
In 2019, Thanaa opened a dental department as part of a charity initiative providing free dental care in Kashmir. Under her supervision and direction, the clinic aimed to provide a standard of care and equipment comparable to the UK. Her work here led to Thanaa being shortlisted finalist for Charity of the Year at the Dentistry Awards 2020.
Away from dentistry, Thanaa enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym, horse riding and is a keen photographer.
