Six Month Smiles

The Six Month Smiles treatment plan uses clear brackets and wires to straighten your teeth in about 6 months. Anyone over 16 with minor alignment issues can benefit from the Six Month Smiles system.

What are the benefits of short-term orthodontics?

Short-term orthodontic treatments provide a number of quality-of-life improvements for patients, including:

• Reduced risk of abnormal tooth wear

How does the process work?

During your first visit, your dentist will discuss your treatment plan and take 3D intraoral scans of your mouth. They will send the data to the Six Month Smiles laboratory, where your appliance will be created.

At the second visit, your dentist will attach the brackets and wires to your teeth with a dental adhesive. After that, you will have a scheduled visit every few weeks for approximately 6 months until the treatment has had the desired effect.

At each check-up, your dentist will make small adjustments to your braces to continually encourage your teeth to move into the correct position.

What about a retainer?

You will need to wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their new position.
